Zafar Iqbal Muhammad is the co-founder and current Head of our International Legal Division. He is a standout arbitration practitioner, who has been remarkably proficient in handling international commercial arbitration cases governed by various national laws as part of his successful commercial practice.

He is currently listed as an arbitrator with London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC). He has worked with top-tier law firms based in Kuwait as Senior Associate and International Legal/Arbitration consultant as well as freelance legal/contracts/projects advisor for various commercial and contracting companies.

He has also acted as CEO of Institute of Arbitration and Transnational Dispute Resolution Centre and prior to that as Head of International Legal Division for another Kuwaiti Law Firm. He has been recognized as Rising Star and Key Lawyer of Tier 1 Dispute Resolution and Corporate, Commercial and M&A law firm by Legal 500 for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. He holds a Masters (LLM) Degree in International Arbitration and International Business Law from American University Washington College of Law; a Masters (LLM) Degree in Transnational Oil, Gas and Energy Law from UK; and another Master’s Degree in Leadership from York St John University.

Ms. Zaghmout is another senior legal consultant in our team who renders extraordinary legal opinions to clients on points of law related to labour law, companies and agencies law, competition laws, and review of commercial contracts including employment contracts, lease contracts, sale and purchase contracts, mergers and acquisitions etc.

She not only has been advising for years on a broad range of commercial issues including sale/purchase of goods/services contracts, property, and investment but she has been phenomenal in delivering strategic advice to companies and their directors employing her sound legal, analytical and drafting skills.

She is well versed in overseas investments providing comprehensive advice on compliance, contracts and commercial dealings. She mostly handles civil, corporate and commercial matters. She also assists clients with negotiation of commercial transactions and drafting of contracts and other legal documents that ensure protection of their interests.

She is also part of our team that offers assistance to our clients with negotiations and resolution of disputes at both pre-litigation and post-litigation stages.She also assists corporate clients in preparation of standard corporate documents, template agreements and various forms required by the law or to ensure their compliance with the applicable laws.
